Leading Chinese smartphone maker Poco has launched a new weapon to fight the budget-friendly smartphone market in India. The company has entered the competition arena by introducing the Poco C65 phone. Poco's new phone is very similar to the recently released Redmi 13C.

The Poco C65 has been launched in India starting at Rs 8,499. Poco is now among the very few phones with a 50MP primary camera under Rs 10,000. The company has provided two cameras only on the back of this budget friendly phone. The 4GB RAM version of the phone is priced at Rs 8,499. Poco offers two years of Android OS updates and three years of security updates for this phone. Amazon

The company has launched this phone in 4GB RAM 128GB storage, 6GB RAM 128GB storage and 8GB RAM 256GB storage variants. They are priced at Rs 8,499, Rs 9,499 and Rs 10,999 respectively. This phone is mainly launched in two color variants. These colors are matte black and pastel blue. Currently, users can purchase these phones through Flipkart.

The Poco C65 will run Android 13 with MIUI 14 out-of-the-box. The phone boasts a 6.74-inch HD Plus LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. The display boasts a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. There are two cameras on the back of the phone for users to take photos and record videos. 

The primary camera is 50 MP. Apart from this, Poco has also provided a 2 MP macro lens. Poco has provided the phone with an 8 MP front camera for taking selfies and video calls. The Poco C65 packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired fast charging. The Poco C65 also has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and GLONASS connectivity. Amazon

The phone also features a 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio support and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The handset weighs 192 grams and measures 168mm x 78mm x 8.09mm. Poco has prepared the C65 as the successor of the C55 which was introduced by Poco in February this year. But the downside of the phone is that Poco's C65 will be a 4G phone. The reason why Poco is bringing a 4G phone to India months after introducing 5G network in the country is not clear.
